Review: Kikki K Large Planner Perforated Ice Blue & Black Textured Leather | New Releases

Hello! Lovelies

Recently Kikki K released three new planners. And two of them I will be sharing here with you today. My lovely post man dropped them off yesterday. Now I really didn't need a new Kikki K but I have really been wanting a black one and when I seen this I just loved it. The ice blue one is actually my Mom's but I just wanted to do a little review on it as well and share some pictures with you.

If you don't know the brand Kikki K they are an Australian company with Swedish Design principles. They offer a wide verity of products including a wonderful selection of planner & stationary items.

These two new releases are beautiful. The black is so simple & classic. And the ice blue is a great pop of color, Perfect for the summer months & the icy winters. The color reminds me very much of Elsa from Frozen.

Both measure:

Roughly 9 1/2 inches tall x 8 inches wide x 1 1/2 inches thick

Both feature:

6 ring binder

Two internal pockets

&

One large pocket

Each come with two small note pads in the front and one large in the back. Also comes with to do paper, meetings and a 18 month calendar (not daily, you must buy that separately). And three sheets of stickers.

I love the texture of the leather. It feels very lush & high quality, very similar to the look of saffiano leather. Much different than my other Kikki K's.

I had heard on a lot of planner groups that people were worried the ice blue would get dirty because of the perforated design, but I don't see why it would. The holes aren't very deep. As long as you take care of it like you would anything else I think you'll be fine.
Another thing people haven't liked with the new ones are that the zipper pocket is gone and replaced with a large flap pocket. Which I think is fine. I did like the zipper pocket but I don't think it's awful not having it.

 I'd give both these 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

For both design and function.

I'd love to hear what you think of the new designs, Did you pick one up for yourself?

How to turn a Louis Vuitton Agenda Into a Wallet | Or any Pocket Size Agenda

Hello! Lovelies

Recently I bought a pre-loved Louis Vuitton agenda, I bought it not to use as my planner but to make into my wallet. I have now been using it for almost a month with great success. Know yes it makes a great little agenda for some but personally for me my writing is a bit to large to keep track of all my stuff in, So for me it works great using it this way. It's also great if you have been wanting a LV wallet but don't want to spend $700 + on it. You can either buy the agenda new from Louis Vuitton for $395 or buy it pre-loved for $225 or under at a place like TheRealReal.

If you don't have a pm size Louis Vuitton agenda that is fine, if you have a pocket size Filofax or similar brand this would work for you as well. So keep reading for some ideas on how to turn your pocket size agenda into a wallet. You'd be surprised how much I can fit in this agenda/wallet!

Inside this agenda to start with is 3 card slots. Great for your ID or credit cards. And behind that is a pocket and as well in the back of the agenda. In those two pockets I keep different paper money. One for larger bills and the other smaller.

I bought two different types of plastic inserts to use for money, coins & membership cards. For my small bills, business cards &  membership cards I used 2-in-1 badge holders from Walmart that can be bought in the office supplies section. They work perfect for those items. All I did was put them in sideways and used a hole punch to punch extra holes.

The zippered pouch I used for my coins is from Filofax its there zip lock envelope in pocket size. Any of the Filofax pocket size items will fit. They also offer credit card holders. I just used the badge holders because you get a lot more for your money.

In this agenda I can fit: 5+ membership cards, my ID & credit card, coins, cash and a stack of business cards with room to spear. I love how its compact without being to small, and it can fit in most of my bags. It's great for everyday use. For a long trip or a night out id switch to a more traditional wallet but I've found it perfect for my everyday life.

If you've been looking for ideas on how to use a small agenda I hope this helped you. If you've turned your pocket agenda into a wallet id love to hear what you used to do so.

Makeup Monday: Yes To Tomatoes Clear Skin Facial Mask | For Acne Prone Skin

Hello! Lovelies

So this "Makeup Monday" I thought id share with you my new must try face mask. I know this product isn't "Makeup" but using this product can help you in the long run to not have to use as much makeup.  This mask is amazing. It's affordable, fast acting and a little bit of product goes a long way. I stumbled across this product while buying other Yes To Tomatoes products. I had been wanting to try a new face mask and recently my face had been braking out so I thought why not. I love there other products and have had great results using them.

If you didn't already know Yes To Tomatoes is a range of products for those with acne prone skin. I have been using a few of there other cleansers for the past few years and have loved them.

I apply this mask after I've taken off my makeup. I'll let it dry for around 5 minutes or so then I wash it off with a warm wash cloth. It leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean. Not tight or overly dry feeling like some masks. It seams to be very fast acting. After two uses it cleared up my spots. It was great. I've been using this almost everyday for the past week and it's cleared up my skin. A lot of acne treating products in the past have either not worked or have left my skin dry and raw feeling. But this brand has never caused any of that.

Pros:

99% Natural
Petroleum, SLS, & Paraben Free
Cruelty-free

5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

If you'd like to try this for yourself it can be bought in store or online at Target, Walgreens or Drugstore.com

Makeup Monday: My Top Summer Makeup & Skincare Products

Hello! Lovelies

Summer is here! Either you love it or hate it but no matter what its not going anywhere anytime soon. It's hot and dry or humid depending upon where you live. The summer sun and heat can take a real toll on your skin if you don't take care of it properly.

Everyone loves a nice tan but nobody likes a sunburn. Plus sunburns can lead to skin cancer which nobody wants. Below are a few of my favorite skincare and makeup products for the hot summer months.

Summer

1.Aveeno Protect + Hydrate, 2. CeraVe Am Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30, 3. Astor Skin Match Glow BB Cream, 4. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner "Trooper", 5. Elf Bush Palette "Light", 6. Circa Ultrasuede Cream Blush "01 Imperia", 7. Elf Smudge Pot "Crusin Chic"

During most summer days I don't like wearing a ton of makeup. It can make your face hot & sweaty, lead to breakouts and sometimes just doesn't seam to stay on your face.

Sunscreen: The last two summers I have used Aveeno Protect + Hydrate SPF 30. It works great. Seams to be one of the best sunscreens I've ever used. A couple weeks back I went to an outdoor concert and stood in line for hours in the hot sun. And I only applied it once and it kept my skin protected the whole afternoon & evening. I would advise to reapply I just didn't because I left mine in my car.

Face Moisturizer: I've been using the CeraVe line for 4 years now, It was recommend to me by my dermatologist. Originally it could only be bought at a doctors office but now you can buy it at Walmart & Target or online. Moisturizing your face is very important. It keeps your skin looking healthy and hydrated. This one also has an SPF 30 which is great to protect your face from the harmful rays of the sun. Always remember to protect your face from the sun because sun damage causes early aging. And nobody wants that!

Face Makeup/BB Cream: In the summer if I'm not doing anything special or need to look "perfect" I opt for a BB cream rather than a heavy foundation. It's lighter on the skin and lets your face breath better. Recently I have been using one from the brand Astor. The only downside to this one is that its German and isn't for sale in the US. But you can buy it online.

Eyes & Eyeliner: For everyday looks during the summer I usaually skip eye shadow all together, some nights or special occasions I'll wear eye shadow but most days i'll go bare or rock a winged liner look. During the summer you need a liquid liner with a long staying power. So look no further, Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is what you need. It lasts all day long. And if you are wanting a nice all over easy to apply color I recommend a cream shadow or stick. The one I've been loving is a ELF Smudge pot. They come in a handful of lovely colors and only cost $3 dollars!

Blush: In the summer I love a bold blush color. Whether it be a bright pink or peachy shade. For higher end I'll go for MAC but if you are looking to spend less than I'd say ELF. My normal day to day makeup look always includes ELF whether it be blush or bronzer. They make great blush duos & palettes. Sometimes I even layer my blush. That way you should be good all day. I'll take a cream blush and then layer a powdered over the top. My current favorite is Circa Beauty's cream blush in imperia 01.

So those are my favorite items for the hot summer days. I hope you find some new products to try. I highly recommend them all.

What are your must have Summer Makeup & Skincare items?

Planner: What I Keep In My Travel/Portable Planner Kit | Pure Honey Jewelry Clutch + Giveaway

Hello! Lovelies

If you are a busy on the go planner gal or just like to have all the essentials in one place than this is the perfect case for you. Whether you are a planner or travel scrap book keeper kind of person, here are some great storage ideas for your everyday portable needs. This case isn't actually for planning but a travel jewelry case, either way it works great.

Know maybe you aren't in to planning but you like to scrapbook on the go, or you do the daily #ListersGonnaList tag on Instagram. It's great to have all your stickers, washi tape and tools in one spot.

This case I bought at Jo-Ann Fabrics. It comes in different patterns and sizes. I believe its there own brand called "Pure Honey".

What I love about this case is that it has all different compartments and zippered areas. Another nice thing is that the two small zippered compartments can be snapped in or out, which I have found to be a nice feature.

In the two middle compartments I like to keep all my pre-cut paper cards, things like Project Life cards, Maggie Holmes frames and cards I cut with my Memory Keepers cutter. And in the other I keep my tape, hole punch, pencil sharpener, & corner punch.
And then on the one side where the pockets are I keep my little scissors, pencils, a crown pen (which I love) and some gel pens.

Then on the other side of the case there is a zipper pocket where I keep an extra pen and sticky notes. On that side as well I keep a few small rolls of washi tape and planner stickers. This little case really does hold a lot. It's the perfect size, not to small and not to big. I love it!

This size comes in three colors: Pink & Gold Polka Dot, Pink & Gold Strips and Green & gold. I can't seam to find this exact one online but if you follow this link you can buy similar ones. If your interested in this one I'd recommend looking in store.

Giveaway:

If you'd like to own one for yourself head over to my Instagram @ChicCountryGirl for a chance to win one like this in Green & Gold. The giveaway will be open one week, and world wide.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Hopefully it gave you guys some ideas on how to store and travel with your favorite planner supplies.
