DIY: Sticky Note Planner Dashboard | For The Planner Addicts

Hello! Lovelies

As of recent I have been loving my planner. It's so much fun. Not only is it functional and keeps track of the things I need to do and want. But its also creative and fun. I love decorating each week in a different colors and themes. I've also become addicted to all the different sticky notes you can get, "who knew there were so many?!?". You can get really cute ones from Little B, Teresa Collins and Target. Target has some of the best and most popular out there. And they only cost $1 a pack, a total score! If you can find them, they sell out rather quickly.

So anyways instead of keeping them in a drawer or on your desk and having to go get them every time you want to make a note, why not keep them organized in an ever so cute way inside your planner. So that's just what I did.
I made a Sticky Note Dashboard. And below is a step by step guide to how I did it.

You'll need:
  • Paper
  • Sticky Notes
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Hole Punch

  • Optional: Laminator
1. Start off by measuring how big your dashboard needs to be. I did this by tracing one of the ones that came with my planner. 2.Then you can either cut it with scissors or a rotary cutter ( I used a rotary cutter, but you can use scissors). 3. After you've done that, if you have a laminator go ahead and laminate the dashboard. Skip this step if you don't. Once laminated cut around edges.
 4. Place original dashboard over new one and mark where your holes need to be. Then punch will hole punch. 5. After you've done that select what sticky notes you want and arrange them to fit. 6. I didn't put a whole pack of each on my dashboard, I did around half or so. Depends how big a pack of sticky notes you have. I just didn't want to way down my planner or have it bulging out. 7. Then tape them to your dashboard. And your done!

Having a Sticky Note Dashboard is great for those on the go that jot down a lot of notes. It's also fun to make because you have so many choices and you can make one that fits your style.

Makeup Monday: Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Flat Contour 301 | Review

Hello! Lovelies

Real Techniques is a brand I've loved for years. They make great brushes at an even greater value. I've never had one that I thought was bad, They've lasted years of daily use with little to no wear, or bristle fall out.
So when I heard awhile back that they'd be releasing a new collection I was very excited. The collection is called "Bold Metals" and that's just what they are. Beautiful and bold platinum, gold & rose gold brushes.

The collection consists of 7 brushes including face & eye shadow. I ended up selecting the Flat Contour "301" brush.

The quality of this brush is beautiful. Both the brush and handle. It has a very nice heavy weight to it. Very luxurious feeling. The bristles are dense and very soft.

This brush is for contouring but in my opinion would work great for most face powders. Not only is the quality stunning but so is the brush its self. This is the prettiest makeup brush I own. And one of the prettiest brushes I have ever seen that isn't $50 dollars or more. I can't wait to try more of these brushes. I'd like to buy them all eventually or at least the face brushes.

If you are looking for a gift to give a makeup lover like myself I would highly recommend a brush or two from this line. I know i'd be happy if someone gave me one :)

Pros:
 High Quality
Beautiful Design

Cons:
Higher price point than others from the brand

5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆

Have you tried any of the Bold Metals line?

If you'd like to try any brushes from this line they can be bought online & in-store at: Kohls,Ulta , Target & Real Techniques

Makeup Monday: Circa By Eva Mendes | Eyeshadow & Cream Blush Review

Hello! Lovelies

Recently I was wandering the makeup section of Walgreens and I came across a brand I had never heard of. It drew me in because of the nice display and packaging.
Circa is a cosmetic range sold only at Walgreens created by actress Eva Mendes.

Anytime a celebrity comes out with a makeup or fragrance line you wonder "Is this really going to be any good?!?" sometimes it seams the name is what sells the product and not because its any good. But luckily that wasn't the case with this.

Circa is a beautiful line. From the packaging to the actual products. They went all out with there first releases. It's not just a few eye shadows or a lipstick, or two. They offer face products like: powder, bb cream and foundation to eye shadow trios, single shadows, & blush both powder and cream, to gorgeous lipsticks. Since I was new to the line and hadn't heard anything about it I just tried a few things to start with. But after playing around with them a bit I'd love to try more.

 I tried :

When I swatched all three of these products they looked beautiful. And when I applied them to my skin they looked just as nice. I really love how creamy and easy to blend the eye shadows are. They are very nice for being a drugstore brand. And the blush is lovely. It's just what you want in a cream blush. Smooth and highly pigmented. Now the only thing I could see as to being a draw back is that they are on the higher end of the drugstore range. The blush was $13 and shadows were $12. But with that being said the quality is really nice. And the packaging looks high end. Very elegant and classic looking. Another great thing is that they are made in America. A lot of other cheaper drugstore items aren't. So with all that being said I think you are getting a great product for the money you are spending.

After trying these I know I will try others. I had my eye on a few lipsticks and some pretty powder blushes. So I can't wait to see how they are.

There really is nothing bad for me to say about this brand and the products I've tried so far. If you have seen the line and wondered if it was any good I'd 100% recommend trying it out.

If you'd like to try any of these products for yourself they can be bought online or in store at Walgreens and Drugstore.com

Pros:
High quality
Made in America
Nice Packaging

Cons:
Only available at Walgreens

Have you tried anything from Circa? I'd love to know what you thought of it.

DIY: Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Kit | Product Review

Hello! Lovelies

Marquee letters, Who doesn't love them?!? They seam to be a huge thing in party and home décor these days. So when I recently seen this cute little DIY kit I just had to try it.
Heidi Swapp came up with this great kit idea, Kind of surprised I hadn't seen something like this sooner. They're called "Heidi Swapp Marquee Love Letter Kit" and not only do they come in letters but ampersands, arrows and stars. A great variety of options. Of course I went with an "E" but I did think about an ampersand. Who knows, maybe I'll buy another. I did enjoy making it.

If you'd like to try one for yourself I am giving away an Ampersand (&) in my big blog GIVEAWAY, Check it out here.

You can decorate it all different ways. Use decorative tape or glitter, or even paint. I decided to go with paper. That way I had a lot of different patterns and colors to choose from. Heidi Swapp even sells her own tape and glitter to decorate these Marquee letters with. But of course you can use any brand you like. The options are endless.

The Kit includes everything you need but:
  • Scrapbook Paper or whatever you choose to decorate it with

& Batteries

It's a very easy step by step kit to follow. It does take a bit of time. But not hard, just a little time and patience is needed. Since I used paper all I had to do was trace the paper around the template that came with the kit.  And then mark where the holes need to go with a pen or pencil. I then punched them out with a paper punch to make it a bit easier when adding the plastic bulbs. Then string in the lights. And your done!

If you'd like to try one for yourself they can be bought at: Hobby Lobby, Michaels and online.

And don't forget to enter my Giveaway!

Hope  your having a lovely Sunday! :)

Love

Makeup Monday: L’Oréal Miss Manga Rock Mascara | Review

Hello, Lovelies

Within the past month or so L’Oréal released a new mascara called "Miss Manga Rock", previously they had one in a pink tube called "Miss Manga".  And I had tried the first one with okay results so when I seen this I thought I'd give it a go since I had needed a new mascara anyways. This one is a lot different from the other. In good and bad ways. The formula of the "Manga Rock" vs "Miss Manga" is much nicer.

Miss Manga Rock features a 360° spiked rubber brush. It's much different than a traditional bristle brush which I prefer over rubber. With that being said you have to be rather careful, the heavier you apply this mascara the clumpier your lashes look. I personally like fluttery soft lashes verses overly caked on.

The thing I like most about this mascara is that it doesn't flake off during the day. And it's not even waterproof. Its very long lasting. And the nice thing is that even though it stays on strong it's easy to remove with a liquid makeup remover unlike waterproof mascaras.

Like I said before the formula is great. Wears long and doesn't flake. But I really don't like the brush. Maybe after a few more times messing with it ,I will get a better result. I'm just so used to bristle brushes I think I just need a little practice with ones like these.

I don't know if I would saying this is amazing. But for the price it's pretty darn good. And the staying power is amazing. If you are looking for a new mascara and you don't mind rubber brushes then this just might be the one for you.

 Pros:

Doesn't flake

Cons:

Rubber Brush

If you'd like to give this mascara a try for yourself it can be bought in-store & online at, Walmart, Target, Ulta & most Drugstores.

4 ☆☆☆

If you've tried this, How did you like it?
